hi guys did any of you see the article in h&h about the dealer in dartford tom bonner , he was buying horses from southall market and selling them on as a lot younger than they were ! well i brought my mare maizie there 2 yrs ago ! at the time i was without a horse and to be honest not even looking as i was still recovering from the loss of holly in a traffic accident .(see my web page for more details )http://www.freewebs.com/kyspd/index.htm . i went to this dealer as friend of mine said i have to go just to see how bad it was , so i did , on arrival there were just a couple of ponies all teathered in a line then all hell broke loose as a huge lorry turned up , well i counted 10 windows so i presumed 10 horses would come out ! oh no 16 horses were let to run out of the lorry all with lead ropes dangling and tripping all over the place . all us public were in the same yrd and just stood pinned where ever we felt safe !!the horses were petrified as the dealers grabbed them and tied them in a line , inevitably fights started kicking biting etc ! thats when i noticed maizie she was shaking from head to toe and was tied next to a nasty tb that started to lash out ! maize broke free and made a bee line for me as i huddled behind a hay bale , her eyes were full of fear and she was covered in poo and what looked like dry blood ? as she did a large lady grabbed her rope and yanked her head about to look at teeth etc , i gave maize a really quick once over ie legs teeth then from somewhere blurted out "il have her " !!!! she was then taken to a quieter area where i stood with her as she began to relax ! my friend thought i was mad ! but to this day bearing in mind i didnt ride her at the dealers has nevr put a foot wrong ! shes a 15.3 tri coloured mid weigt w/b type i payed £1295 and vet says shes 10 -11 yrs how lucky was i !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! x

I bought a horse from him too, nothing wrong with him physically, he was a lovely 6yr old tb type. He was very underweight though.

I got him looking lovely but when I went to get on him he went mental and bronced me off, breaking my elbow.

I sent him to the sales at a great loss after having his back, teeth, saddle etc done.

Shame really he was a nice little horse.

Sound like you managed to get a nice one from him. I'm sure some people do. My friend bought a lovely horse from him which is the reason I went there. He was tied up to a tesco shopping trolley.
