Just wondered really.
Lost my old girl Lizzie in 2007 (RIP sweetie) and had decided not to get another horse for a while have some time off whilst at uni!!
Ha!!
Anyways lasted from the april till november (impressive for me!) Then found a lady to help with her 8yo and her old mare. I helped her until the sept 2008 then her old girl died and she no longer needed my help. Then I thought again no horses too much work!!
Lasted till the feb 2009 this time (impressive as i was snowed under at uni!!)
Still no intention of having my own horse again till i was at least in a stable job after uni but then started helping out at a stud.... They had a beautiful 10 month old coloured horse call Oscar who I was imediatly (sp?) in love with! He let me do anyhting with him and as our time together progressed he would follow me around away from all the other horses and just enjoy my company! And me his would groom him for hours and if he was laying down i would just lie with him. No need for words. Anyways the stud owner was retaining him as a stallion (Orlando bloodlines) So i knew he could never be mine
I still sent hours with him even when we had the new foals he was the special one and he knew it! We started going out for in hand walks with the others and he trusted me so much it made me so proud anything worried him he would be right with me checking it was ok. I never had that degree of trust with Lizzie cause she had been there done that!!
Anyways in september 2009 I plucked up the courage to ask the stud owner (by now one of my best friends ) If she ever sold him if i could have him! To my amazement she said she was thinking of selling him anyway to buy a cremello stallion and a spotty stallion!!! 
So thats how me and my soul horse met. Two souls becoming one. He is only just two, but is my life and i cannot imaginge being without him. He currently stands at 15.1hh and i am hoping he makes 16.1hh as i am 5 foot 10! But what ever happens he is with me for the duration and hopefully like Lizzie he will live well into his 20's-30's.
He makes me complete and I will never be without him. Sorry for random post but just wondered if anyone else's soul horse found them?
