Yes, OMG wasn't it fantastic. From where I was sitting Laura's test looked near on perfect. I love Alfies presence - I think he knows he's special. It was the first time I've seen Charlotte ride and she is so so talented and I think if it wasn't for a few minor mistakes and Valegro's initial nerves she could have easily got higher marks than Laura? Also Carl's horse Uthopia is only 9 years old, and was the youngest horse competing and he came 3rd - We've got more to see from Uthopia as well! I loved it.
Shopping was good as usual, lots of gorgeous things. I fell in love with Dianne Hennchen's art, so I bought all my Christmas pressies from her
I also bought one of those hair removing tools, for dog and horse hairs, and some bits; a nathe which I want to use on the boy's lunging bridle, and a hanging cheek snaffle
My only slight downer of the whole night was when I got accosted by the Chinese ladies who were selling nail art, and I tried to tell them I wasnt interested, but she wouldnt let go of my hand and I was surprised by her aggressive sales tactics. (I was also slightly embarrassed as my hand's have already succumbed to the effects of scrubbing feed & water bowls out in freezing winter water....) Then she tried to sell me a pot of nail varnish for £40! I told her I'd be better spending that on a pair of sealskinz gloves
Lorenzo was amazing, I'm sure it's not good for his knees though!!
Just thought the whole experience was amazing. Never been before but will definately be going back! In fact I've just ordered myself the official Olympia DVD as a keepsake
