Did anyone purchase a horse from

Is it a paticular horse you are looking for? If it was bought by a dealer then it may have been passed on again since.

There was a horse at that sale that has come down with strangles, therefore anyone who did make a purchase needs to keep an eye open for a rise in temp or snotty nose. I believe the auctioneers, Thompson Rural Ltd are aware, & have another sale there this Sunday. I would like to add that she should not of been infectious at the time because she did not have the discharge. The concern is that the dealer had other horses there & therefore they could be carrying, plus with them going back this Sunday people ought to be aware. This was caught very quickly before the signs of discharge, so the danger is slight, but she has been in contact with it prior to the sale. As this post keeps being bumped down, there is no point in the clock & dagger, so the info may as well be available.

So if you made a purchase you probably only need to keep watch if yours was in the same or nr the pen with the 12yo skewbald ride/drive mare that fetched £840. I was there & I dont remember seeing any horses with discharge, the RSPCA were about. There is a question mark over why the symptoms took so long to show. She had been kept with the other purchase (who has shown no signs) in a paddock on their own, away from the other liveries.
