Okay so I have a friend (let's call her Stacey) who loans a pony off a girl (let's call her Alice) and Stacey has been ranting to me about how Alice is being unfair. Recently Stacey bought the pony a new bridle with a flash on and posted pictures online of her jumping the pony with the new bridle on. Alice saw these and told her not to use a flash but Stacey has been telling me how the owner (Alice) doesn't know anything and never rode the pony because she's "scared" of the pony. She has also been saying how she knows more about the pony than Alice. Now the pony is 13 and Stacey has been loaning her for a year, Alice has had her for a long while (don't know the exact amount of years). I was concerned for Alice so I've messaged her about it. Have I done the right thing?

Best to stay out of these things really!

At the end of the day, the owner of the pony has the final say, I can't stand flashes and none of my horses have them on. However, if there's a reason it's needed, both people need to get together and find a kinder alternative.

I'd also be telling them to not involve you!

Stay out of it altogether. You'l get no thanks for getting involved and it's something they need to sort out between them with a simple conversation. I'd steer well clear.
