Diddy XC What to wear???

A few weeks ago I decided to jump my Sec D for the first time over a HUGE 6inches or so....hey it was my first time! Anyway we have kept it up and are now up to about 2' not bad for a geriatric rider! Anyway some friends of mine have invited me to go and take part in a 'diddy' XC clear round but I'm unsure about what I need to wear. When I say diddy I mean diddy about a foot but hey who know diddy this year Badminton next...
 
Thanks Sophie, don't want to be overdressed...I'll make sure I get a body protector before I go, so at least I will look the part even if I don't actually have a clue about what to do...lol
 
Oh didn't realise I needed a skull cap...

Had a look at you and you boy Sophie, he's lovely and you look really good together! Will try to get some photos of our attempt at jumping. I'm so looking forward to it.....
 
That was our 1st time!! We've only done clear round twice but he was only 4 last summer and I didnt want to push him or me!!! I was shaking when we got to the finish, I loved it!!!
 
Well you both look great. My boy is 14 but acts like a 3 yr old...willful, spooky and scared of everything even the things he sees 10 times a day...lol I will have to do the clear round twice once for him to spook at all the fences and once to actually jump them!!!

The good thing with clear round is you can jump the same jump 10 times if you want, I didn't know this at the time!!! So I was just rushing round it! Poor bear!!!!
 
I'm going my first hunter trial next sunday, I'm wearing cream jods, a dark sweatshirt (my pony club jumper), body protector, skull cap, dark gloves and my normal boots + black chaps. It's a good idea for you horse to wear a neck-strap, just an old stirrup leather will do. You can grab it over a jump and if your horse gets a little fast you can pull on that. They don't like the pressure on their neck and should slow down
