Diesel costs

Mines good, about 28 - 35 MPG depending on trip length etc, and just a little less when got horses in. My 4x4 and trailer only does about 22mpg when towing 1 horse!!!!! Box is for sale though!

average lorry will do 20-30mph depending upon the weight of the horses and the drivers right foot.

Mind you with the diesel costs being £1.09p per litre I can see battery operated golf carts being used!lol

Have you hired the vehicle of someone and are driving it yourself or is someone doing you a favour and picking the pony up for you?

If it is someone doing you a favour I would give them at least £50 as there is no way you could do it yourself for that price.

was either going to ask someone to do it for me or hire a self drive. But just found a guy who will do it for a pound a mile and let me travel with him.

Thanks everyone, all booked and ready to go!
