I was driving down a tiny road this evening to my friend's yard to drop something off for her.
I was looking at the (never grazed or fertilized) hedgerows, verges and the areas on the bridlepath nearby - all bursting with different plants, grasses, herbs and flowers....
Then I looked out over at the livery fields - uniform in their grass, clover and buttercups.
Comparing the two - is it any surprise that horses aren't always so healthy, despite the best care we give them?
