I currently have a wintec 2000 GP but would like a dressage saddle too....

Other than the price tag... are there any real differences other than that one has celebrity endorsement?

Both are available CAIR or flocked.... they both look pretty much identical (although I have only seen pics online), but the pro is about £200 cheaper?!

Any ideas?

The wintec pro is more like a vsd rather than a pure dressage saddle, with a much flatter seat, and it does not lock you in place, where as the Isabell has a very deep seat, and really holds you in place. They are 2 very different saddles

I've ridden on them both and preffer the pro, the isabell has a far deeper seat and really locks you in like madhector says, its stirrup bars are also further back which I find unbalancing and the knee blocks seemed more pronounced the pro is flatter and allowed me to sit in my usual position without interfearance from the saddle, which I preffered but then I like very plain saddles, try them both if you can before you buy.

See I really wanted an Isabell, but the fitter said that they were far too deep for my young horses back, so stuck with the pro, which I have decided I prefer, as it really makes you work at keeping your position, where as the Isabell I find makes me a little lazy. Once you can sit my horses trot in the pro, you can sit anything!

Yep, the Pro has a flatter seat and doesn't hold you in. I got a Pro as I wanted the option to jump in it, there is no way I could jump in an Isabell as it's just too deep!

Being lazy and held in place sounds good to me!!! But is it really worth £200?

I will have to see if I can try both... I know someone with a pro I can borrow, but not an isabell and I dont live on the mainland, so will have to mail order, which means I cant try before i buy....

I guess I will just have to try the pro and go from there!

And then theres the decision whether to get CAIR or not aswell!!

My horse makes me work hard enough already!!!

I guess the pro will probably seem more supportive to ride in on the flat after a GP anyway tho... I will give it a try!!

It really comes down to what fits the horse best at the end of the day tho.... (and I can almost guarantee that will be the more expensive one anyway - it always is!!)

Thanks for your help!
