I am not sure if you have to plait her, hopefully someone else will help with that. If in doubt I would plait. If you are over 18 I think you now have to wear black or navy coats but check with your secretary. I went Autumn hunting 3 times and my first hunt on wednesday, all I can say is that it is a lot faster paced than AH and you don't hold up for as long. Hope you have a fab day - I loved it!

You will have a more official meet before you move off.
If you meet at 11, try to be mounted at the meet at the very latest 10:45. You have hosts who will provide a stirrup cup (drinks & nibbles).
Take a sandwich or snack in your pocket as with hunting you will be out longer than with cubbing.
You will probably be on he move much more & could end up quite far from the meet.
If you do need to go home early ask someone the best way back, to avoid heading the hunt or upsetting farmers by going on the wrong land.

Turnout traditionally is plaited for the horse & black or navy coat with a white stock for ladies.
However most hunts will accept ratcatcher(tweed) jackets & accept waterproof coats on wet days.
Always ring the hunt secretary in advance of the meet as some meets may be limited to subscribers only. The hunt secretary will be able to answer your turnout questions.
Have fun hunting is not as "stuffy" as it used to be but good manners remain a requirement for anyone riding on other people's land.
