Following some advice on here I'm going to try Lils in a Universal for jumping to give me slightly more brakes without going over the top. Have been browsing on ebay and seen several suitable sellers. Was wondering if there is a difference between Sprenger and NS bits or is it just a case of different branding?

Branding and the type of metal used.

Sprenger use Aurigan and NS use Solax both designed to encourage a wetter mouth, accpetance and give off a more pleasant taste.

Just as Kenzo says -- but thought I'd add Sprenger are more expensive because Aurian is a more expersive material, it is similar to salox but lasts longer and is more hard wearing. I've got both :S and find them both to be very similar, I think with the sprengers you can get them in a wider range of sizes, including width of bith and bit rings :)

About £50!!;):D:D

I have tried both and have to say I prefer the Sprengers - the NS has teeth marks in it from being 'crunched' and has little sharp bumps on it as a result.

Find a bit bank and have one on loan for a trial to see if it suits - that way you can get the bit that works best having tried it for schooling, hacking, jumping etc Make sure you try it doing everything you would want it for.:)

I use both and havent got a problem with either. The NS are fine, and do the job well. It isnt worth spending the extra ££ IMHO. I only have a KK cos the NS didn't do anything suitable.
