Hi all, just looking for some advice...

I started sharing a pony in April (I've never shared before only owned) and she's lovely - fun and honest and so confidence giving which I needed. Deal was I pay for shoeing and ride/check her 3 set days a week (2 week days, 1 weekend). Rider has exams so not enough time for her. All was going great.

A couple of weeks ago they said they were considering selling and offered her to me. Shes lovely and I was grateful to be asked but at the moment I couldn't commit myself to another and if I were to she isnt what I would buy. I was then told ob Thursday she definitely wasn't being sold. On Friday, a friend noticed her advertised for sale on preloved, ad was put up on Friday. As far as I'm aware she wasn't being sold. I paid for her shoes today but the ad still hasn't been mentioned.

What would you do? I enjoy riding her but im annoyed I haven't been told. I feel as though I may be being used to get her fit to sell :(

Would you say something or wait?

I'd mention the ad on preloved and ask if they've had a change of heart are selling. Their reaction should tell you all you need to know!

Would you immediately stop sharing her if they were trying to sell her, or would you happily share her up until she was sold?
If you would happily share her up until a sale then I wouldn't stress about it at the moment - they'll have to tell you eventually anyway, and it might never happen. You can always have a quiet look about for something else to share in the mean time, but you never know - a new owner may be willing to continue your share.

I would ask. I think you have a right to know what's going on, particularly as you have a financial commitment to this horse.

Thanks.

I would consider sharing her until sold, but if something else came along I would probably take it - I don't think I should miss out on something when the share could end at any point.

I asked over text today - slipped into current conversation, but not had a reply...

I don't reallt know how to broach the subject...

I would mention it.
Just politely say you thought she wasn't being fold but have have seen an advert.

Have you checked the advert?
Is it definatly the right horse.

Really if you dont want to buy her then either carry on until sold knowing yeah you are being used to keep horse fit but you are getting to ride.
Or give horse up now and look for something else that's not being sold!

Yep definitely the same horse. Photos and contact the same.

In the nicest way I hope she sells quickly, she really deserves a lot more than all of us can give at the moment, never enough time!
