hello, back for more advice ! having got through the summer and seemingly avoided laminitis after a sub acute scare by putting my pony on a track and bringing in with soaked hay during the day, we got his weight down and he was looking really good for about a month, now he is staring to look slightly poor again, although still has a some fat pads just behind his shoulder, he has lost alot of weight from his neck and bits of him are looking a bit scrawny. he hasnt got much of a top line as isnt in work as such although I am lunging him and walking him out as much as I am able. incresaing this just isnt feasable. I am worried about feeding more as he has residual fat pads we have had a huge grass flush and he has only just moved out of sub acute lami. I feel sure he has EMS from how his weight has fluctuated and how he has distributed the fat and am a bit confused where I go from here with feeding turnout etc, this is our first winter with him - we took him on in late spring as he was desparately in need of a home, at that point he was underweight and looked like a yearling ( he is 10 !) having come out of a hard winter with little additional forage. any advice would be great./ thanks
