For those who may be interested:)
I have ridden Digby for the 4th time today and he was very good.
Basically iv been wokring on transitions, transitions and more transitions!!

He also seemed to have no concept of a road or the fact you stay to the side of the road-and not trying to go up one bank and then the next! So i have been practising moving him off my leg as well, which today he seemed to understand immediatly(ok its not quite the perfect leg yield but he has the idea!)

Today i took him for quite a good canter as places to do this are few and far between, and he was a good boy.

Every hack iv been on there has actually been a place where there is water across the road(very shallow but flowing) and iv been getting him to walk/trot through that with no problems. Today i found a large puddle covering half the road so i had to keep him really straight and to the left first time he went though halfway then decided the bank was easier  second time through he was dead straight and had a massive trot!!]

Then i came across a wide piece of verge with a ditch onto the corner of a field and thought-im going to see if he will pop over...had 2/3 attempts of him not really being brave enough to go and he would spin round on his hinds and try anmd toddle off down the road but 3/4th time he just popped over i praised and praised him and he looked so pleased with himself!! Then i asked him to do it again (Back to the road) and he went striaght over
