Hi

Has anyone had any good expereince with any of the digestive supplemtns on the market? There seems to be a lot available but with supplemtns im always a bit sceptical. Do they REALLY work? My hjorse is fed blue chip anyway and they say you dont need to feed any more supplemetns other than blue chip. However my horse is very loose and has upset tummy. I suspect from grass growth. he has had this before and im thinking is it time to put him on a digetsivge supplemtn with probiotics and yeast in. Have also seen B-sacc or something.

Any expereiunces would be intersreting. FYI my horse is 7 yo WB.

Cheers

Hi i have used haylage balancer and pink powder with some effect. Don't completely clear it up and becomes worse when haylage is really wet and green. But they did make an improvement.

My foal has suffered with runny bum on and off from 6 weeks old,i got so fed up I tried the yeast we feed the cows it works great. It is biotal SC (farm pack)I now use it on my mare and the new companion who was also a bit wet poo.

save your money just get some brewers yeast n add to feed .natural horses supplies on ebay sells i tryed every thing on the marken n brewers yeast seen results in 2 days after really bad squitters for 4 weeks. shes been on it since n perfect poo

If it's really bad the best one I've used in the past for one of my horses was Protexin Bio Premium. For every day or if it's not that bad, then Pink Powder!

Global Herbs Diareeze is one of the best products ive used tbh & ive tried a lot.
My WB suffers multiple gastric issues & bouts of scouring is a frequant thing for him. Ive had him on Diareeze for the last month & he's been really good.

for general maintenance we've found pink powder good as an all round supplement as well.

When our old mare is particualrly bad NAF thrive really works, its a type of digestive clay and slows the transit down and enables them to absorb more from the food as well as firming the poo's!

Incidentally their haylage balancer is a combination of pink powder plus the thrive plus some calming herbs so I thought it would be quite good - it is however pretty expensive and when i used it on my old horse who was very loose on haylage it didn't seem to make any difference - the answer for him was to just feed hay, nothing else worked!
