Hello! Just wondered people’s opinions on digital pulses. I have a 3 yo connie who has had much more obvious digital pulses over the last few days. He is struggling with the heat as he has a very thick coat already and has been coming in from the field sweating and puffing a bit. My question is, should I worry about the pulse being more pronounced or would this be the case if the horse was hot/ struggling with the heat? The pulses go back to normal within a couple of hours of him being inside in the cool.
I do take him off the grass each day as i worry about laminitis though he’s never had it, he did break into some lush grass and was very footy for a day or so earlier in the summer so I am constantly worrying about it.
Many thanks in advance!
