It was very warm this morning and i brough my girlie in (shes in at day, out by night) and her pulses were rather pounding...

shes not footsore, her hooves were a tad warm but they are warm anyway as its hot and she's in a winter coat (hasnt shed it yet- was clipped today) she turned perfectly and was forward going... should i be worried?

Ive only had her two months so i dont yet know what her 'normals' are?

Don't panic .... DP's can be up if she has been hot or working ... why are you so suspicious of Laminitis ... what else is worrying you ???? Tell us more ..

Ive never had a horse with it before and ive now got my first native and im paranoid about it...

Ive no personal experience with it so i dont know what to base my findings on other than paranoia...

When should i be worried?

If you keep an eye on her weight and she is on barely nothing (grass and hard feed wise) and she is young, fit, not already had Laminitis and excercised regularly then you should not be paranoid about it

...

If you see any signs of her being pottery or 'feeling' the turns or favouring walking on grass PANIC

But you must must must be vigilant ... and if doubt talk to or call the Vet
