Ok long story but basically my sister has had a horse for 4 years and it has been dodgy, having done plenty of PN's and well 1 year before we got her she was a great 1st horse for my sis to do PC and start competing on having had a naughty pony!! she's 15.1 14yr old.
well she came with serious baggage in the 1 year gap before we got her and seriously stopped. i.e wouldn't jump 2'6. in the end. really lacked confidence and it got prigressivley worse.
got everything checked and didn't jump her for 3 months. all fine. when she came back they had masses of lessons and things improved.
then did 2 intros and got E in XC. took time and went to do a BE 80 and came 4th.
then went intro again and did fine.
this year had lots of lessons and help before start of season and did great at 1st 2 intros. coming 8th in one.
then last one (Burgie) had 3 stops XC. which she could do so so easily.
anyway, we are now thinking about getting her another horse as my sis has lost so much confidence and doesn't trust the horse and vica versa.
i don't trust her completely but know i could get her round a PN. horse is more than capable!!! was doing JRN training down south,
anyway got sis to try a friends horse todya who is 7, NEVER stops. can get it completely wrong and she goes, and forgives and goes. done few novices but got no points.
not great dressage, just gets v tense and slightly croup high so conformation is against her.
they got on great. my sis loved her. sounds perfect!!!!
BUT
they asking £8,500 for her.
she has had minor problems with 1 hock which doesn't effect her now but would stop her going up levels i.e advanced. should manage intermediate (not that we want that, that is what vet said)
she dishes slightly and comes with no tack.
if there wasn't a tiny issue with hock of price a bit lower it would be a perfect match!!!!
what people think>>>
she hasn't had a chance to try others, not many out there and she got PC camp all next week, and there slight time pressure with this horse!!!
sorry to garble on, could do with outsiders point of veiw as my parents trust my decision on this!!!
