Ok here goes nothing

My NF pony is out on loan to a RS , has been for the last 4/5 months .
He is 17 and worked his whole life ( took me PC eventing/BSJA etc ...)
Currently he is also on loan via a loan scheme at RS .
I am beggining to wonder if the work load is too much for him .
He is by no means ready to retire / be a light hack but I'm confused to what to do

So , how much work do you think he would be comfortable in for the next 2/3 years ?

Obviously it depends on the horse, but oldies tend to do better if in regular, but lighter exercise. I'd have thought 1-2hrs/day would be more than enough for an old friend that owed me nothing.

Oh sorry forgot to add.. injury put an end to his 'proper' competition career . ( He damaged his stifle ) and he's now on Cortaflex to help
