yeah, I know I can't spell it lol!

New pony arrived yesterday aftera bit of a stressful journey. He'd shouted and sweated up.
Soon after he arrived I noticed he had the runs, but put it down to the stress and gave him his (soaked) hay and left him to it.

Today his tail was caked in it, he hasnt done any real 'solid' poos, there's some substance to it, but still runny.
His temps normal, he's bright and alert, all else fine.
Is it normal to have this after a stressful move? He's still a tiny bit unsettled (missing his old friend) so I was wondering should i leave it a few days before I start to worry??

I generally treat diarrhoea seriously however in this situation I would just monitor him. If his temperature is normal then I would think the same as you that he is just stressed out.

It's often a sign of worms so talk with your vet what to give him, as the chances are bunging wormer in him may make the problem worse.
(I assume you would worm him anyway as a new purchase)
It may also be a reaction to the journey or new hay /haylage.
I would put him on pink powders for a week or two to allow his gut to get used to the new forage.
My instinct however is it may be worms...

I was going to worm him with guard but have left it as I'm a bit wary with him having the runs. Don't want to make things worse.

I would put it down to the stress of moving. But if hes still like this in a few days perhaps get the vet to check him over.

Could try a scoop of dry bran perhaps to firm it up a little.
