When I saw the title of your thread I thought to myself "it will either be about mud or willies"... and I am wholly amused that it is both :D :D :D

I also have a perpetually muddy grey who likes to 'let it all hang out' :D

I have a leopard spot who likes to fill in the gaps till he is brown all over! The bottom of one of our fields floods after a downpour, (neighbour blocking the ditch) he will wade in to his knees and roll in that too after giving it a good stir!

Haha, I know exactly how you feel!! My current and last horse are both grey, and the first thing my instructor said to me when she saw my current horse was "WHY DID YOU GET ANOTHER GREY?!" :D
The worst thing is having 10 minutes before a lesson, to make it look presentable...

tell me about it, it takes me twice as long as my friends, they complain i take ages but i cant help it! Sweeping up after is a nightmare too, especially if its a windy day

Plus friends with bays and chestnuts pull them out of their fields and they shine like conkers, but they're still saying -"Oh, he's sooo muddy"

He's what? Listen, you don't KNOW mud until you've had a grubby grey....

oh yes, totally right, my friend has a chestnut, quick flick with the brush and hes done :O then all i get for the next 15 to 20 mins is 'hurry uP!' 'your taking for ever!' .....

the bonus of owning a grey horse is - lol.

I bathed mine the other day, then 2 secs later they rolled :)

btw, Teddi alwaysd follows me round the field with his do dar danglinig, my OH says he thinks he fancies me :D
