I have a lovely 4 year old neutered male rabbit, but he has a bit of a problem! He gets a very dirty bum, and gets a ball of solid droppings attach to his tail! I keep on top of getting rid of it but dont know why he keeps developing it? Any ideas? He has a consistent diet with plenty of hay.

id look at diet again...go with hay only for a week or two and see if he improves.muselis etc can cause loose dropings in some rabbits and often supplements are not needed for rabbits as normal rabbits reeat their poos in order to get the nutrients required.
.if no change on that I would have a fecal test done for parasites and teeth checked to make sure he's not having issues chewing his food properly. also watch him like a halk for fly strike a scour places him as very very high risk.
