...just got home after a full-on day with the 'osses.

Clipping, lesson, and general messin' about....

Will add a 'clipped' pic tomorrow.

Also pleased to discover Lily loads and travels fine in the dark when we we ran out of time! :o (light on in the trailer of course)

She was happy to get back to her field though, OH led her down, and even with the wind howling and fireworks popping nearby, she was very good...

Just wanted to share that with you!

Any horsey epic adventures for you all today? :D

Glad you had a productive day.....

A fab days hunting in the wind and rain - there is nothing like a day braving the elements, then coming home happy and muddy to the log burner......

Lovely long ride in the park in the sun before the wind and rain got up.

Horsey pamper session -
Mane pull and tidy,
Tail trim and tidy
Sheath clean
Scabby leg wash and treat

Muck out

Swept entire yard as my hay had blown everywhere - not so good!

Nipped up to Maccy D's and grabbed late lunch timed perfectly to miss the squall

Went back to yard - two barrows of poo-picking

Got my horse and my friends two in and put to bed

Now drinking wine and eating chocolate buttons - Good horsey day :)

Spent half the day trying to de-mud the yard with the tractor and bucket, I do feel a bit like Canute (although i doubt he had yellow waterproof overalls and a 60 year old Fergie :D ). I did have a nice time this morning, brushing the 2 year old Cob girl and the 3 year old Appy girl and being groomed back by the two year old :). I was also very impressed with the youngsters at comming in time, howling wind, lashing down with rain, firworks and thunder and lightening and they both came in as if it was a still, calm warm evening, these two are absolute stars at the moment.

Me and OH just got back from checking them all. Our's live out 24/7 and are in the bottom paddocks at the moment, finishing the last of the grass before they move into their winter paddocks, it's also more sheltered down there with the wind being the direction it is at the moment....

All seemed fine, just staring at us, as they do....! It was the bunnies that made us smile, shiny eyes all over the place....bloomin' things, the blokes' coming again next week to sort a few for us, the damage they do to the field... :(

Hope tomorrow is just as epic! :D

Well I did a 6 mile assault course thing called Wolf Run which was mostly fun and fairly tough, no pony involved, think she would have struggled with the terrain and rivers I crossed! I am hoping for a productive morning tomorrow and really need to give Nell her first little clip as she is such a sweaty mare! Need to tidy my messy house before my folks arrive....

We had a rug trying on session and mortified the poor pony. On a brighter note as the field was so wet we ventured out on to the roads for his third ever time being ridden and apart from the odd couple of pony-eating rustly trees he was a little star :)

Then as it was my husband's birthday I treated him to a pizza and a film
