Without going into too much detail at this stage I have reported some horses (lots of them at one place) that are in not very nice conditions- yes they have water and some food, but they are not in a good mental or physical state.
So with my concerns I have rung the WHW (ILPH) they seemed very disinterested and said I have to send photographic evidence,(I did give very graphic and detailed descriptions) then and only then will they decide if its a priority case or a case at all, her words were "Your idea of neglect and cruelty might not be ours"
I told them I have 30+ years experience as a horse owner and I DO know what is right, wrong, cruel and un safe, IMO this is a Spindles Farm disaster waiting to happen.
So then I asked if it is deemed as case what happens then, she said we ring up and ask to go and see them. Again IMO he will just "hide" all the worst ones away and sweet talk them round, he is a very manipulative man.
So I have rung BHS welfare line, they have a totally different attitude toward it and have assured me they are on to it, there field officer has spoken to me today and is going to investigate. So I feel a little happier, sorry to rant but I was bitterly disapointed in the WHW attitude, obviously on an open forum I dont want to go into the details of these animals, but any horse owner with an ounce of brain would see these animals are suffering.
Not tho mention the puppy farm he has going too, and the endless hungrey pigs, cows and sheep, this is a disaster waiting to happen.
Thanks for reading.
