Discover Dogs Rollcall!

We’ll be at the Discover Dogs show at the ExCel London this Sunday with the German Longhaired Pointer stand.

Is anyone else exhibiting or attending? We met our first GLP at discover dogs at crufts so try to do as many of these shows as possible to return the favour ?. There are only around 200 of them in the country so this is a great way to educate more people about their existence ?

Sadly not this year as it clashes with our breed club championship show, but I will be on the stand again at Crufts. Good on you for doing it, also having a minority breed I think it’s so important to get them out there and seen. ?

Ah will have to come and see you at crufts in March ?
It’s lovely how much interest we get at these shows, they become quite a conversation point as they’re so rare. We get to spend the entire day talking about our dog with like minded people, it’s heaven ?

Another one who's toying with the idea of attending. There's a few breeds I'd like to see, but, as I won't be buying a dog anytime soon, I feel it'd be a waste of time for any owner I spoke to.

Yes, all breed stands should be manned on both days ?

Never feel like you’re wasting anyones time, even if you speak to someone just to discount that breed from your list it’s time well spent. With the GLPs our main aim is to show people that they actually exist! Every owner will want to ensure that the breed they represent will be ending up in the right sort of homes so ask loads of questions! You’ll get honest answers ?

The main breeds on my list are the Canaan Dog, Russian Black Terrier, Leonberger, and Cirneco dell'Etna. I was hoping to see the Greenland dog as well, but their name's been taken off the list it seems. An otterhound as well, as I doubt I'll ever meet one otherwise.

If I do go, I'll come say hello to you and Ivy, if for no other reason than the fact that she's absolutely gorgeous!

Oooh that’s an exciting list! It’s such a great opportunity to be able to speak to the people who actually live with these dogs, it gives a great insight into how they fit into your life ?
