This evening I was sprucing up little mare for hunting tomorrow and was shocked at how long her tufty feathers were. I have to admit that I am not a good fetlock trimmer but got the scissors out and cut them back tight. Despite my best efforts they still looked choppy! (Don't like clipping them unless the whole leg is clipped). Moved onto mane and fetlock with my thinning comb (you know one of those ones with hooked blades that have been discussed on here a lot). For some reason I decided to use it on the already chopped fetlocks and gave them a good raking in all directions and the results were excellent - all the chop marks gone and they look lovely and smooth and natural. Just thought I would share it with you.
