How often do you clean your mats and what do you use to do it?

I was advised not to use Jeyes fluid on mine as it could cause the rubber to perish. Generally use a weaker disinfectant such as a supermarket homebrand. My horses now live out 24/7 so mats not used but I tended to clean the Equimats much more often than the heavy black mats due to ease of lifting. Pick a dry day when the stable will air out more quickly.

weve always used jeyes fluid, diluted in a bucket of water, quick scrub with sweeping brush, VOILA!
leaves pleasant smell aswell

If you can get hold of one, use a industrial steam cleaner, they use nothing more than tap water, there's no harsh chemicals involved and kills smells by killing the bacteria which makes the smell!
Kills all bugs including MRSA, C-Diff etc etc
Mine belts out the steam at 130 degrees, nothing can survive that and it brings the rubber up nice and clean and dry in a few minutes, it's effortless, no scrubbing !

I use Stablezove powder disinfectant, sprinkle on any really wet patches and put bedding back over.

Where can I get that from? Done a search on google and nothing comes up.
