Sorry, this is random!
Hi everyone....
I haven't posted in ages, feel like a newbie again lol

I've literally just got myself a very nice 3.5t box - super excited to be totally solo for the first time in my mid life life!? and not having to rely on anyone else's kindness getting me places.
I'm in the process of de-cluttering my house (dining room) of my hacking jacket, body protector, 'bag of travel essentials' and a few other things that can now live in the lorry.
Thus I'm pleasing the non horsey OH... the rosettes that I've been lucky to have won, not many but a few, have also made their way to the lorry. But I don't know how to display them?
I've seen other lorry interiors with their prizes hanging on the wall, but how are they attached?
Any photos for inspiration?
Same applies to hanging a framed photo or two?

Thank you in advance

You can buy cork boards cheaply, for pinning things to.
I wouldn’t have a pinned cork board of rosettes where a horse could get its mouth though! But behind the driver or in the storage part. .could work?

the 2 lily has got this season are proudly displayed on the dashboard at the minute, but i’m planning on putting some string or something up behind the cab seats to hang them on. it feels a bit conceited to take the ones from home to the box, but i don’t really know what to do with them all🤣

They fade though in the sunlight? It’s not something I’ve ever wanted to do but I suppose if I had zillions of them I wouldn’t mind so much 😂

Just a word of warning. When my landy got stolen I lost many things that were inside. I'm a tad paranoid now about keeping things in vehicles especially if they are irripraceable like your rosettes.

Yes and your vehicle insurance may well not cover those losses. Also with a 3.5 ton be extra careful of the weight limit - it is surprising how much all the odds and ends end up wieghing. You may find your jacket becomes damp living in a lorry.

Will your hacking jacket and body protector keep well in the lorry? I would worry about mold.

mine has been fine left in the box! i was bothered about this and used to take it out but forgot and it was in there for an age, absolutely fine. it’s in a garment bag. you’ve just reminded me to get my body protector out and give it a whiff though, that gets left in the luton and used once a year at camp🤣

My body protector also lives in my box and it's fine. I have chicken wire behind the seats that holds my rosettes (also not mouldy, some have been there years!)

Congratulations on your new found freedom - it's great isn't it.

My lorry has been cleared out for the winter. I've not been early enough to get the rossette's down so they have got damp .

Generally rosettes I win at a show will go in the windscreen either hung on a cord tide between the hinges of the passenger sun visor or on the dash if they have long ribbons and they will stay there until i get home from the show. Then they will go into the living area and be hung on the window frames. I have seen other people hang those rosette holders you can buy in their lorries, the ones that look like anti slip mats.

I wouldn't recommend keeping your jacket etc in the lorry over the winter as even the best sealed lorry will get damp stood around. I have loads of the little damp catcher things in my lorry to help with the damp and leave the heater running with a window slightly open to help clear the moisture too. My lorry is a bit old (don't tell her) and has a few gaps round doors etc.

I take most things out of the lorry over the winter as if we do venture out can put what I need in rather than the five jackets normally in it. I hang those dehumidifier sachets too including in the cab.

I take my rosettes home. Personally don’t like them shoved in the front of the cab long term as seems disrespectful to the horse. Putting them there travelling home is fine though!! Displaying them in the lorry again is fine by my weird logic as you’ve taken the effort to do that but be concerned about the card box backs getting damp.

Yes I've lost a couple disc/faces from my rosettes this year as they got damp and came out. I'll have to glue them back in at some point.

This stuff is brilliant. You can cut it to size, it's flexible so can go round corners or deal with contoured walls and the holes are perfect for rosette pins. Cheap as chips too. A few different size/ colour options here or google "non slip mat".

I have a few of these that i have hung up on the walls of the living area. They are fab and keep my rosettes on display neatly!

They now make "rechargeable" (microwave or even just leave to dry in or out of the sun) 1kg sacks that use less plastic, I have one in my van but it's only been in a couple of days so can't completely report back on how well they perform!
