hiya, went to a show today and a bit sad (this post doesnt have a purpose just need to let out frustrations)
we got there and got ponies out of the trailor...they were fine.
tacked up....he was fine
rode to the warmup arena...still fine!!
AND THEN i was cantering him around, felt lovely, and needed to jump as my class had a jump in. the jump in the warmup was a small 1ft9ish straight, really simple and he wasnt too bad, but gave it alot of height. i thought ok her just exited. did it a few more times and he wasnt gettin any less stag-like!he was starting to get very bothered and was napping and plunging, and kept shooting forward every time i moved my whip hand (which he does when hes upset as he used to be smacked alot before
((((( )
anyway, so we went into the class and he wouldnt shut up haha! he kept neighing and neighing, it got pretty annoying. and as for the jump in the class......if went from 2ft to about 2ft6!!! bit of a ping again!!!
luckily it was just the one so i hung on hahaha.. i was very happy though as we came second in that class and qualified for the sunshine tour (yay)
he had a brake for lunch, then tacked up and warmed up again for working hunter pony. his pony freind couldnt come with him this time as she was in another class...he was NOT happy!! he was napping quite badly and when i went in to jump my round, we made it over the first (quite fast and bigger then necessary...again hahah) but then turned to the second (facing away from the gate) and he stopped and went sideways!! which he never does. he just didnt want to jump and was very upset...he wanted out(and quite frankly so did i!!)
so we went back to trailer abit sad.
i was going to leave it there but decidded to enter handsomest gelding and try to end on a high....unfortunately not! we werent placed, and i was really hoping we were as i had spent so long making him look lovely and he has lovely kind eyes. we were all abut confused because the ponies who were placed looked abit dodgy (not ugly of course coz theyre al beautiful, just quite riding schooly) and some had some strage shapes!! i was of course quite upset as i think, being hosted by a riding club, the judge was very biased.
so all in all a bit sad. he has never behaved like this before, and after telling him off for napping he got scared of me...which made me upset more than anything else. Mouse did not enjoy himself. i suppose it was just an offday...i hope so .... it was scary
:'(
will put some pc pony pics up xxxx
(sory bout length)
but it was lovely for the girl who came with us as it was her first show, got a 2nd and two fourths and aslo qualified for sunshine tour xxxx
