Distressing threads - dead mares/foals

I'm on a local facebook group and this time of year there are very sad threads posted about mares that have lost foals or foals that have lost their mother.
Some are just putting out a call in case there is a suitable candidate whereas others seem to be in a panic. I think if I had a mare in foal I would want a list of what to do "if the worst happened" with as many contact numbers as possible, but it seems that not everyone is really prepared.
I am a bit behind the times, I don't think "The National Foaling Bank" exists any longer but is there another group that keeps a list of mares/foals?

Not an expert as this is my first time breeding but I'm a member of The Foaling Hub group on FB which is very active and they have a related group for fosters wanted and available. Lots of posts get shared to there.
