Disunited canter transitions

Right guys I need some help. as my horse is lame atm I have borowed another horse for the time being as her owner is off atm with broken fingers! (If any of you have seen the CC post from Jenbleep in the PG its that mare)
Anyhow, the problem is thus in downward transitions, trot-canter she doesnt bring her inside hind thru properly on either rein and therefore goes disunited for half a step in the transition. I want to take her to some prelim/novice dressage so need to get over this
Today we cantered for 20mins non stop (she is fit) and got one true transition at the end so I left it at that
I tried
*Preparing her really well, but if you half halt too early she completely disunites
*Dropping her completely so she fell into trot, still did it
*Tapping her with stick in the transition to encourage hind to come through, didnt work
*Half halting with just reins/just body also didnt work (think the last one was just luck!)

You name it i tried it and nothing worked, no different when she was fresh or tired.Cant even remember now what we did to get that last one we did so many! Anyt ideas what else I can try

Disclaimer!She has had back, teeth checked and full 'MOT' but vet and nothing physical found

Sounds like a back prob to me.

I will add that my vet found nothing wrong, no lameness, passed flexions tests etc but said i could have a physio out (keep the customer happy and all that!). 3 weeks later she was diagnosed with Sacroiliac strain, suggested by the physio and confirmed with scintigraphy.

So find a good physio to look at your horse!
