Just wondered if anyone had any ideas or had had similar problem ever:
Came back from a week's holiday & horse is full of beans, lovely and forward, soft & round, until going into right canter. He is intermittently uncoordinated, it is like he is holding his right hind in the air for just a second too long so he is going disunited. However this was only when schooling, he was fine out hacking, and even when I lunged him it didn't happen.
Instructor thinks he may have pulled a muscle in his back while I was away & may be holding his back slightly to protect it, though she agrees with me that he is absolutely fine on the left rein & in walk/ trot on the right.
Just seems strange thing to happen, he's never done this before, any ideas?
(Saddle being checked next week, am organising a back check too)
