ditatal camrea needed for eventing and showing season advise

i need a camrea that takes good photos with fast shutter speed that will take picture of horses xc and on the flat as mine is just so.
Can anyone recommend a good one in the 100 tto 200 pound range thanks

I had a fantastic Fuji bridge camera before I bought my SLR, I had the S5600 (which has now been preceeded by the S5700 and S5800). Absolutely fantastic camera, produced some lovely photos and a great price- think the S5600 is £120 on Amazon. Either of those models mentioned above are good, they are very similar just some are more recent than others.

I only upgraded to an SLR as I wanted full control of the camera but it produced some fantastic photos whilst I was using it:

I've recommended this camera to about 8 or 9 people, all who bought it were really pleased with it

It's not an SLR, but probably the best camera in the price bracket.

Twizzel im really glad you posted this. I too am looking to replace my digital camera and have been all over the net today trying to get my head round so many different ones!

Is the shutter on the S5600 in real time or does it have a delay?

I'll have a look at my dad's he takes pro photos for a website and he's giving me his old camera and he's bought a new one, my digital is totally rubbish for action shots but there is some info on this link that may be able to help you.

There are some good ones about that do take some good shots but if you really want one for eventing and taking pro sports pics the your looking at spending around £500 and above on a good camera....so he's always told me anyway
