Hi all

After spending most of the last 2 months dithering about which one to do, I am going to do a bit of both

Think I was missing the XC more than I thought, had a fantactic lesson yesterday with Jim Arkley at Tweseldown and Saf was amazing and I've dropped back to the little sweet and sour gag and she was so happy in her mouth no running off through the bridle and have also been working on a whistle as a command to stop, sounds daft but thats helping too

If anyone knows Tweseldown and knows where the coffin is, well we jumped all those huge ditches which are not jumps that run either side of the coffin to get over my ditch phobia

Also got to jump the rest of the novice course from where I was eliminated in oct.
Very proud of my girl and now going to plan a mixed season of BE and BSJA.

Well done to Elles as her horse was also a star, she might even tell you herself

A very sensible idea I think

If you can afford the dual registration fees I can't see any reason why you wouldn't do both anyway

Good luck for the forthcoming season....and glad you got over your ditch phobia lol!

thats why will do a few events mixed with SJ, wish they would reduce membership for those who do less than ten events / SJ days. BE / BSJA are you listening?
Thats why also I don't have a social life and spend so long on here

Those ditches were huge, thought he was mad then he reminded me if I was hunting would not even think of it, funny that

Saf was such a good girly, V calm, although not quite as calm as norm in the box when she realised where she was!

I liked listening to Jim's commentary.... "that horse is a machine", "wow", "she's a lunatic", "wow", "she doesn't look at anything"!!

He did say you need to get that intermediate in early in the season!

I am sooooooo pleased with M

He was such a star!! We jumped much bigger than anticipated, but when Jim believes in you and you're having so much fun, you do go for it! Looking forwards to schooling again on the 3rd and our first event.........!!! We'll try and do you proud!!!

I was just thinking last night that the societies should do a half year membership. Sounds like a fab day, you must start your Badminton campaign

You could follow in Merely a Monarch's footsteps and do Badminton and Hickstead Derby.....
