Just dithering about whether to rearrange the dog training session I have booked on Saturday, it looks like it's still going to be hot and Henry tends to go on sit-down strike in this weather!

Do it - he'll be fine i'm sure. I thought the same but mine's at 6.00pm tonight so thought I could always take them for a swim on the way home to cool off :)

My lesson is at midday, and there's no shade or breeze where we train at the best of times:eek:

Have emailed to see if we can move it to earlier or later in the day, if not I will go for it but take even more water than normal so I can give him a good soaking at the beginning of the lesson - I had to hose him down before we went for our lunchtime wander today and he was bone dry again by the time we got back:eek:

Ooh will be hotter then. Hmmm well we're not doing an awful lot off slip yet so not so demanding for them. If Henry's going to be running about like a loon then he might struggle a bit more.

Plus we're working in woodland - nice and shady.

Never mind Henry, I am more likely to sit down and refuse to move in the midday heat. I'd be moving it for me, on the pretence that I'm caring about my poopy puppy. :D

I'd try and move it. I'm doing the minimum with mine during the heat of the day, the 2 older ones are quite happy to just lie in the shade. Mind you Evie is dragging 5 gallon water container around as I type, daughter is sun bathing in the garden and I think Evil one is trying to get her attention.:D

OK, now I know I need to change it - just got back from a walk / training session and he was fab, made every retrieve, waited and marked beautifully, hunted out every random dummy I hid in the undergrowth and recalled and heeled like a good'un. Huzzah, I was starting to think he'd forgotten it all!:D
