I watched the film Wild hearts cant be broken and yes its very disney, but the lady riding the horse, doesnt close her eyes in time and gets detached retinas, but still carries on doing the show for 10years even tho she was totally blind.
The film is based on true story.
But if the rider got detached retinas surely that could happen to horse??
On the other hand you can't make a horse do that sort of thing, wouldnt look good beating it up the gang plank!!

it never stopped, albeit at a different venue/height. I am amazed that it is something that a horse will ever do but lightening doesn't look terribly worried about it to me and gets his bucket of feed at the end.
