My first foal of the season - and a first for my young stallion Indigo Pure Arrogance. She's a cracking filly - named Dixie Chick (motheris Dolly and all her foals are named with a C&W connection)

The weather was cr*p - but we caught a few dry hours. She strolled out to the field, checked out the electric fence (ouch!) ran around a bit - then slept for a bit. I think it's the first time I've been able to catch a foal to bring in on first day out - she's VERy laidback!!

Wonderful. All she needs now is some sun. This time last year it was baking hot with sun all day every day. I only remember because our foal was born that week and the mare was boiled every day until she foaled on the 11th.
