Will also do a search through old posts, but just thought this might attract some new suggestions.

Don't mind how big or small the yard is- but must have access to school with lights, some form of hacking and all year round turnout. Not really that fussy other than that!

Not actually planning on moving any time soon, but would really like to see what my options are.
PM if preferred.
:)
Thanks

Am cr@p at directions so thes may be in the wrong part of cambs!
Beckbrook EC in girton
Chivers in Histon
Unwins in Impington
Lordsbridge near granchester (?)
Manor Farm near Huntindon
Haggis Farm of the m11 (?)

There are also loads listed on here, http://www.cambridge-horse.com/livery.html some of which I also know personally but they're full livery

Also Highgate Country Store in Willingham has quite a few places advertised at the moment (was there today) one of which looks really nice but I *think* it's only full livery. French's on huntingdon road also always have ads up

PM me if you want more details on any of the above and I'll try and help :)

No. Those are definitely all in the place you say they are :)

There is also definitely a yard in Fendrayton or Fen ditton (sorry that isn't very helpful is it?)

Ooh thanks for the website.
Girton, Histon and Impington all north of Cambridge unfortunately (+ Manor farm v north :D ), but thanks anyway!
Think i may pop into French's or the barn shop or something at some point this week, thanks.

The one in fen drayton is college farm, have a friend who liveried there. there's a 20x60 school, small canter track, lunge pen (but surface isn't great), stables have automated wateres in and are ok, but quite small. Yard can be a bit bitchy (from what friend said, no personal experience). they have a website if you google it.

Ah sorry, as i said geography really is not my strong point! Ok so we want the other side of cambridge, will have a think and get back to you, though my knowledge on that side isn't so good! (as you can probably tell from the above list :p )
Ely is also north isn't it?

O. You meant south of Cambridge. I thought you just meant south Cambridgeshire. Doh. Silly me :p

to be fair, we are/were in more or less the same area which is probably the cause of our ineptity. I'm now sitting here trying to work out where south cambrdige is, I've got to foxton/stanstead way, lol

I'm still here :)

I'm quite interested though actually because I don't know any yards down there but I work down south, OH just went for an interview in Trumpington, we live in the south of the city and yet I drive up north everyday just for the horses and then double back on myself.

I'm happy where I am but I definitely wouldn't mind knowing what else is there!

Ah, it's jesspickle that's moved, I always get you two confused in my head as you are both loacl to me and have very similar usernames-arbitary I know! I really can't think of many yards out that ways, but I guess maybe that's because your moving away from the fens? or something? (I really have no idea! lol)

at least you recognise that we're two people. jhoward thought we were one and the same the other day. And Kitty got us mixed up too. You're in good company :)

OP, sorry I've been yacking on on your thread.

Ooops, appologies indeed, just thought, there's Firs Farm, but I think they just do full, and then there's Hill Top EC-I have riding lessons there (my horse is currently sidelined) but just realised they also do livery

Oh dear, sorry, I wrote a bit of a rubbishly-phrased post and then left you in confusion! :o :D

What i meant re location was south of Cambridge (or IN Cambridge, if there did happen to be any little yards tucked away in somewhere like Trumpington or Granchester..? Though don't think there are)- I live just north of Saffron Walden, but go to college/socialise ;) in Cambridge. So my (slightly rambly) logic was that if there was anywhere around Hauxton, the Abingtons, the Shelfords, Babraham....that would be totally ideal.

So yes, south of Cambridge please :o

college farm is a bitchfest, person who ran the full livery walked out the other day and took a number of other liveries with her ................. apparently!

There are a few yards in the abingtons down by the nurseries but you'd be best to call in, I don't think they advertise....Beech farm at Harston (number should be on Cambridge horse)

If you live in Saffron aren't you close to Quendon? Can't think of anything in Linton but there is a farm going out of Horseheath towards Balsham, can't think of the name though....Keeble cottage at oakington very good but probably wrong side of the city for you?? There is also a yard in Thriplow but would have to dig out the number - someone on here is there....
