Hi I am moving (hopefully!) to preston in cirencester, I have two yearlings, one nf gelding and one welsh d colt, they go out together and could even stable together in a big enough box! I need either DIY livery for them but would need to be able to work to pay it off, as wasnt planning to have them both stabled. or a field with a shelter, or a job where I can bring them, Iam open to all ideas, suggestions etc . . . help!:)

Tiana, I am in sapperton at the moment! so would have been perfect for me the last few months!!! my husband is head chef at the bell, still, not to far from preston what is the fencing like there? :)

Jen - my next door neighbour has her horse at old Talland, I think it has individual electric fenced paddocks and my boys wouldnt be very good with electric :)

Hello!

Fencing is barbed wire at the farm, I was a bit worried at first but Bilto hasn't hurt himself with it yet! He's been there since May this year as I brought him from France in May. (I'm from France originally in the UK for now 4 years!)
Only 4 horses there, 3 are retired and mine who I ride 6 times a week in Summer and will ride 4 times a week in winter!(as it's dark after work now!)
Let me know if you would like Jeremys number (the farmer) you could always go and have a look to see what it is like!?
Very easy going as you can go there when you want! (which you can't usually do in most yards!)
I usually go there at the week end+Monday day time as well as Friday (I'm a nanny and on Monday and Friday I don't work while the boy I look after is at school!)so we could also help each other out if you were not sure of being able to go everyday (just a suggestion!)
Anyway let me know what you think :-)

I am renting a field from Jeremy at the moment - the one behind the bell car park, I dont think I can afford to have them both stabled there because I cant work to pay off any livery :)

Oh right, didn't know it was possible to rent fields from him! (never asked though!)
Can I ask you how much the field cost you per month? (before I found Park Corner I was looking at renting a field as it is probably much cheaper but couldn't find any...)
Why do you want they stabled?
Bilto is going to be moved in a better (natural) sheltered field when I come back from France (I'm here til the 18th of Oct!) at the back of the farm but it's a shame there is no proper shelter...I've looked at the prices for mobile shelter and they are about £600 but don't think I would bother as it is not my field and + not sure Jeremy would agree with this!!!

There was a field to rent in Brimscombe at around £20/MONTH per horse!(around 15minutes away from Sapperton)
There was one other horse in the field and lady was looking for other horses to keep him company and share the price of rent as well as she rents it from a farmer.
I think it's about 4 acres.
I went to see it few months ago (would have been great as only 5min from mine), there is a good size shelter and field looks good but didn't move Bilto there as the fencing is not safe and couldn't afford to buy all fencing and re do most of it! However if your horses respect bad fencing you wouold be alright!
Let me know if you are interested and I can give you the ladys number. (don't know if she has found someone yet or not)
