Hi Debs85lee,

I know of a few from when I was looking to move yards however I'm not sure on what all of them maybe like but here's a few DIY yards I know of in that area!

Mashbury Hall, Roxwell
Elms Farm, Roxwell
Westwood Livery, Sandon
Chelmsford Equestrian Centre (Not sure if that still does DIY as it's recently been taken over)
Haven Farm, Galleywood
Turkey Farm, Stock
Crondon Hall, Margaretting
Parklands Farm, Galleywood
The Orchard, Roxwell Road

Out of interest OP, where are you currently that is closing down?? PM if you you'd rather!

Good luck, hope you find somewhere!! :o

It's Elms Farm that's shutting?!

Oh no, that's sad! I looked round there myself about a year and a half ago and thought it was a lovely little yard, only reason I didnt move there is I hadnt finalised the purchase of my horse on time and the stable went to someone else.

Not sure how far you want to go, but think there's a few nice DIY places out Braintree/Cressing way, if I think of any more Chelmsford based ones, I'll re-post on here!

Thanks guys :)

Maningtree is a little far really but i really do appreciate the post - its so nice to know people pull together!

Yeh the new owners at Elms left us all a letter this morning. Couldnt even be bothered to tell us face to face!

That's awful, sorry to hear this. What a time of year to try and find a new livery yard too, well good luck and I'll keep thinking of any other options for you of other yards!

I've just thought of another and there's Rose Lawn in Broomfield, they do DIY. Definitely try to pop down to Ingatestone and read the board and get the Essex Rider as there's always ads on there advertising livery spaces.

Birkett Hall in South Woodham usually have spaces. Its a bit rough around the edges but plenty of turnout and good hacking and people were always nice.
