Well, the Dizzy one had a visit from the back man today - and he's really pleased with her

Said she was calm and ladylike(!), and that she is looking good

(ok, so a tad too good, but heading to winter so don't mind

). No issues with her, other than she's wearing the inside of her front shoes: I've told the farrier and he'll speak to Back Man.

Back Man also thinks head issue is Dizz being a prat/testing.

He'd like her to be Pessoad to help build her bum.

And my car sailed through its MOT so I'm a happy bunny

That's great news after the scare you had a few weeks ago. If she doesn't like the pessoa I'd really recommend a de gogue, D goes beautifully in it.

CM - I do like them. Not for all horses, but with all things ned connected, it's horses for courses lol. Will try at the weekend and see what happens!

AB - see, I have a use lol

Just a quicky - haven't you had lameness issues with Dizzy? If so, I'd be really, really wary of getting your farrier to alter the way she wears down her shoes/change the way of shoeing if she is now sound. I have seen more than one horse made lame by farriers determined that they should wear their shoes evenly/correctly. The current school of thought, one which I subscribe to, is that lots of horses can wear their shoes in an unorthadox fashion and that you can do more harm than good correcting it - my farrier looked at how my horse wore his shoes the first time he shod him, and now pre-wears them for him so that he can move in his optimal fashion (note that this is the horse's optimal fashion not the textbook one!) right from when the shoes go on. I think this is an incredibly sensible approach, so although it is worth chatting to your farrier, if he's happy with Dizzy and you are, and she is sound, the phrase 'if it ain't broke don't try and fix it' springs to mind!
