Rode this morning. Was only aiming for ten minutes or so.

She was a total cowbag, the worst she's ever been.

Spinning, barging/leading with her shoulder, backwards at speed.

We've been practically in the middle of the hedge a few times.

Bl00dy stroppy mare!

All a temper tantrum because she wanted to get back to her mates.

She worked well at points, and we did have a controlled gallop up the drive (first ever!), but as for the rest of it....

She didn't sweat up at all! I did (stripped off and cold hose in the courtyard, neither a pleasant sight nor a good sensation

I do think though that she is trying it on and if you can get her into a routine of almost daily excercise (with help) it will get better - I went through the same with the BGL but he has given up now!! and your lessons will be a great help when you start them - occupy her tiny dumblood brain!!

Oh naughty madam - she should be looking after you, not giving you grief!

If it makes you feel any better, I took my ponio out this morning, I am just starting to hack him out on his own - he didnt want to leave the others and I had a mahoosive battle to get him out the gate and up the lane, he desperately wanted to spin and race back home, but thankfully I managed to win, but I am now totally exhausted and my joints are killing me - naughty boy trying to get the better of his fat old numpty rider!!!!!

Thought she was going to go a few times, but she hasn't learnt that one and so far I've managed to hold her (and her mane lol).

Ta hun. I do have someone to ride her, but if she's going to behave like that then only I will ride her - it's alright me risking my neck, I can't ask anyone else to do it
frown.gif
Never mind, I need the exercise

. Friend has suggested lunging with side-reins or the Pessoa and gently up the work expected of her.

She's not in pain and she's not upset, just being a stroppy teenager!
