Hi all,

Has anyone successfully had an unrecorded horse DNA tested and what company did you use?

I want to do BD associate champs with my mare but her breeding is unrecorded in her passport. I managed to contact her breeder so I know the sire is registered, dam is not, but if I could get the sire on her passport/DNA certificate that would be enough for Native Pony classes.

Just wondering if anyone else has done this? Looking to do it for next year as I know it’s probably too close to get DNA testing back now before the qualifying period ends!

Have you contacted the breed sociey that you would want overstamping done by ,as they are the best placed to advise you of the correct way to go about this.

When I looked at it , dna my horse , was the only one to offer this
If just for bd and associated champs, you don’t need the passport overstamped, just the dna certificate.i have this in writing from bd.
I think it’s about £50
I sent one off but it came back inconclusive, they did give me a full refund though.
