As title says really... Badger is 9 and has got a lot lighter since I got him, but his legs are still dark. I don't want him to go really light - he'll be so much harder to clean!!

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe im cheating a little though!!

Ha Inky will not get get lighter as he ages but he is technically a "silver dapple" rather than a grey!!! They do not get lighter.

He changes colour depending on the time of year not on his age!!

I'm dreading all this. Our brabant/boulanaise is getting a fairly light grey but his face is white and we have two percherons (3 and 4yr olds) who are iron grey and light grey so in 3 or 4 years we'll have 3 white carriage horses to clean! ARGH!

P.S. That mini is the most amazing grey I have ever seen!

Evetually they all lighten if the are in anyway grey but it can take them well into their old age, my grey dun still had dapples and points at 21

I wouldn't worry, we all go grey eventually!
