As title really - just bought a fulmer snaffle off Ebay which is supposed to be a Neue Schule but I have just noticed it doesn't have a logo on either sides and seems a bit thick. It wasn't that cheap so if its not an original, I want to send it back!!!

I've got a couple of NS bits and as far as I'm aware they all have NS on one side and Salox written on the other side as you look at it from the front. The starter bit doesn't have the direction arrows on the ends though.
You could always ring NS and ask them?

I'll double check but I think some of the older ones I have don't have salox on them. They were bought new with tags on.

The direction arrows are only on certain models that need them.

Not all models. http://nsbits.com/nsb/horse-breed/ if you go down to the question about arrows you will see that this only applies to the NS Tranz Angled Lozenge and Verbindend mouthpieces.

OP assuming it was sold as secondhand I would be inclined to clarify with neue schule before rushing back to ask for a refund on the basis of what a few people on HHO say. There have been changes over the years in how the bits have been stamped, as for thickness, many of their bits come in different mouthpiece thicknesses.
