do any of you ride your horses more than once a day?

if time allows of course!! I hacked out early this morning for about 2 hours. am bored now and want to ride again! would it be unfair to ted to hack out again!! random ask but just wondering! day off work boredness aye!!!;)
 
I used to work Lucy twice a day when we where doing endurance. I used to lunge her in the morning and hack out in the eve. It was hard work as she needed to be fit for 80km rides.
I don't see a problem with taking him out again as long as you don't hammer him round.
I forgot i kind of ride Yoyo twice a day on a mon and fri as i hack her to work put her in a stable, work for 4hrs then hack her home. :p
Get out there and enjoy the nice weather thats what i say. Hope my rambeling makes sence :p :D :D :D
 
yep yep yep!!

my pony gets lunged/walkered for half an hour before turn out

and then ridden for an hr+ hard in the afternooon

i have been known to lunge, then put her on the walker, and then hack out for an hour, turn out and then school her in the afternoon!

It's not unfair at all. (I'm asuming your boy is relatively fit, ie ridden several times a week at least normally).

I ride my boy twice a day quite regularly in the summer. I usually hack out early in the morning and then lunge or school after work in the evening.
 
brill thanks all...well he is fairly fit I think - he is only ever hacked with me due to his collateral lig damage he had 2 years ago but is now obviously sound and hackable (just cannt jump anymore) I have been hacking him everyday the past week - he gets weekends off!
 
No not really. I'll generally school for an hour and then go out hacking for an hour.

The cobby's and pony get taken out as much as possible...have too many horses and too little time to ride them all twice!

My little mare however when I had her, would get ridden twice a day, somtimes even 3 on occasions, but she was a typical welsh D and full of beans!
 
I do sometimes, if I have a lesson in the morning, I will then hack after work. Keeps Bodey nice and fit, and he always seems to have the energy. :D
