.. than continental warmbloods?? or is it just TB influence?

Just seems that ID and shire x's seem a bit more keen than a similarly built WB?

The WB's I've ridden have been well up for it, but a lot of people on here say they are "stuffy" and I've seen a few posts that ID x's are a bit mad.... opinions please!

i can't generalise about energy levels from my experience, have had all sorts.
i do think wbs are spookier though, and they spook downwards at things, go to a crouch, say, when spooking at a fence, whereas idx spook and come up in front so find it easier to take off - they haven't put themselves in an impossible position.
wbs spook at puddles, reflections, different coloured patches of grass, all things that i've never had an idxtb or a tb spook at. i'm sure their vision is different.

I have an irish tb and it is the quickest spookist creature i have ever sat on.

Hacking in spring is a nightmare beacause the new grass comes through a different shade, hacking in autum is a nightmare because the dying grass/bracken is a different colour....can you the patten forming!!

He seems to have an extra gear, you think he is galloping flat out, then you find that there is still more. He never fails to amaze me at the speed in which we change direction on the gallops (never when asked) but he is a fantastic hunter who is brave bold and never tires
