Does any one know if any of the calmers that are around at the moment work?
If so which is the best one, I have a pony who gets stressed when travelling etc and would like to give it a try. Any advice. thanks

My understanding was the calmers worked for some horses but not all. I'm using a global herbs calmer at present with allen & page's calm and condition mix. The reviews for both are good.

Magnesium based calmers only work on a horse with a lack of magnesium. If your horse is only gettting stressed whilst travelling I doubt one of these would work and they're pretty expensive to try and then not work.

I have found that herbal type remedies work very well. I'm not normally into herbal stuff but have a look at Star of Bethleham (sp) I'm pretty sure you can get it from the supermarket/ boots failing that I'm certain Holland and Barratt sell it.

Be careful which one you use though as some types are toxic to horses.
