Because I'm sure my 4 1/2 stone GSP thinks she is a lap dog!!

We were at the pet shop today getting some flashing collars, a girl who worked there was crouched down making a fuss of her, and Star manged to climb up on her knee!! Very comical!

She is now perched on the back of the sofa with her legs dangling all over, and likes nothing better than to squeeze onto the the foot stool or a dining room chair!! Do you think she was a little dog in a previous life??

Alfie, on the other hand is pint-sized but thinks he is as big and tough as anyone!! Could be a case of little man syndrome though!!

What about your doggies?? do they act appropriately for their size??

Erm, Stella swaggers about as if she's 80lbs. She isn't yappy or anything--she just acts like a big dog, and tends to gravitate toward big Shepherd-type dogs, Pits, Mastiffs etc.

I will never forget the sight of six-month-old Stella hanging on for dear life as two Mastiffs played tug of war with a rope. Crazy since the day dot, I guess

The pictures span a couple of years, but I am a bit of a nutter when it comes to taking photos

I'm such a Boston Terrier bore, but I love Stella to death. Feel very blessed to have such a fun, happy dog in my life.

I don't think they do cause this one of mine thinks it is a parrot and likes to try and lie across my shoulders when ever i sit down.

What a handsome dog. Boxer/Mastiff or am I way off the mark?

My JR seems to manage to take up most the bed, leaving me to cling to the edge!!!

How do you think I cope with 6'4'' BF, GSP and border terrier!! I get about a foot on the edge!

Ahh, but I bet the Border takes up more room in the bed than BF or GSP!"!!!

Nooooo, Alf is a little smidge of a thing, he couldn't take up that much room if he tried! Star likes to stretch out fully, no curling up for her, she knows I'm more pushable as well so she pushes me out of bed!

Nope!!!!!

My poor wife being 'wailed' on by 13 stone of cuddly wolfhound ( sadly deceased) But when you get 86KG of fun loving joy do a running leap and 'rage' you , you kind of get used to it!
Never did it to anybody else but my wife!

Out on walks my English Pointer acts like a typical gundog, always hunting, often on the point and she flushed out a massive pigeon in the garden at work on Wednesday and nearly grabbed it mid air - only missed it by a millimetre.
In the house however she changes into a little lapdog - I'm sure she must of been a cavelier in a previous life. She loves her comfort and is always trying to sit on your knee and definitely thinks her large and very slightly bony body can fit on your lap! If you try to stand up she's stuck to you like glue.

Beastie who is a mini schnauzer likes to think she's a lab and the lab Tina thinks she is a lap dog! She's big for a lab (breeding not quite right) and always tries to climb onto my knee. Big Windsor who was also a lab used to love to sit on my uncles knee!
