Do foals shed out darker?

Hi,

just been wondering if my foal will shed out to have the same shade of bay as his mum. Her breeder said she was nearly chestnut and white when she was born. how long does it normally take? He is 8 weeks old and has only lost the hair on his face and a little on his chest.

Most of our foals born bright bay are now really dark! It took a few months starting on their bums and faces

yeah baby coats are generally lighter than the amture coats.
bey has milk coat legs for ages!she was bringt orange with white legs and black where it had shed out on her pasterns!LOL.
shes now bay to dark bay colour.

Most foals that i have known have shed out darker. My friends bright bay filly is now a very dark bay.
